Are you a hopeless romantic? I’m not- but I always take the time on Valentines day to make sure my number 1 knows that I care! And although I’m not really “the romantic type” I do get kind of mushy when I have to express myself to him. So whether you’re a hopeless romantic, or an occasional one like myself, this list is a great place to start.

1. A Good Book: The Five Love Languages- Not only should you read this book for yourself before you give it to your sweetheart, this book is a relationship guardian. If you ever wanted to know how to make your significant other extremely happy, this book will tell you. Not only did I learn how to love my husband, but I learned how he liked to be loved. The best thing: he read it too! This book is awesome because the rewards can last a lifetime!
2. Jewelry- Jewelry is always a good gift and makes a great impression. Watches, rings, bracelets… honestly, it doesn’t matter. Giving jewelry says “I care to spend a little more than the usual on you”! Take the time to pick out something your honey will love and then surprise them!
3. Chocolates- Nothing is more traditional on Valentines Day than a box of beautiful chocolates! Somethings never change for a reason, and chocolate is one of them. To the chocolate lover, giving a box of chocolates is like giving them a little piece of heaven- they will be eternally grateful!
4. Gift Cards- Gift cards make a terrific gift for any occasion- not just valentines day. The amount on the card may be an issue depending on your sweetheart. So, consider a gift card from his or her favorite restaurant. You could also give a spa or massage gift certificate. The possibilities are endless!
5.Flowers- Another great Valentines tradition is the traditional bouquet. You can’t go wrong with roses on Valentines- even for the guys! Have them delivered to your sweethearts job for full effect to display your love in front of all of their friends and coworkers.
Regardless of what you get your loved one on Valentines Day, the fact that you let them know how much you care about them will set the perfect romantic mood!
